When logged in go to ‘Maps & Services’, download the relevant map and transfer it to your vehicle via a USB stick. The majority of models built from 2017 receive Map Care, which provides free monthly map updates that are available to download for the duration of the warranty period. Register your maps with Naviextras Toolbox A free PC-tool called Naviextras Toolbox is available on the Downloads page. Once you connect your navigation device to your PC and launch this tool, it will automatically scan your device for installed software and maps. So I bought this insteed of spending 30€ more and buing a Mio PDA (which was the other option in this price range). First I tried to place the additional maps on the /myguide/map directory of the SD. 1. Download the map installer and save the file on your local harddisk, for example on your Desktop.

2. Connect your carNAVi device via USB cable.
(after plug-in the USB cable select the ‘USB connection‘ icon on the units touch screen)
3. Open ‘My Computer’ and locate the drive letter or device of your units main memory, you can see a removable media with the name “CARNAVI”. Please remember the drive letter, for example F:
4. Run the update program, read the instructions and click ‘next’. Enter or select the correct drive letter and path of your navigation unit, for example F:Map. (Drive letter depends on your hardware setup.)
To find out your current map version, view the map area to be checked in a zoom level <2km, press the ‘Menue button’, then ‘Information’ and ‘About Map’..Map Updates / Map Installer*
