MAC prolongwear concealer comes in a little cylindrical pump dispenser packaging which is almost equal to the size of a standard MAC lipstick. In fact if I put it in its black carton box, its almost difficult to tell this from a boxed lipstick.

Whenever I don’t sleep enough, my eyes start punishing me with some under eye dullness which I normally don’t usually have. So I was looking for a good concealer which would give me a brightening effect and at the same time conceal the dull areas. Well now I am super happy to have found this one. I was matched to the shade NC 30.

The concealer is creamy in consistency, not too thick or thin. The texture is easy to work with and applies smoothly on the skin. It does set pretty quickly though so I have to make sure to blend it well before it sets. Thus always keep in mind that this should be the first product you want to blend.

What I love the most about this concealer is the way it controls oils on my skin. It keeps my skin looking matte for long durations inspite of my super oily-combi skin. This concealer literally lasts on me for a good 12 hours without creasing, caking or melting. However it is a very matte product so if you have dry skin and have dry patches around the eye, this might actually accentuate them instead of hiding. Coverage wise I have to say I get a medium coverage out of it with a single decent layer. But the coverage sure is buildable.

The only problem I have with the concealer is its pump. Although the pump might look so tiny, it dispenses a lot of product in a single push. It results in product wastage. After 3-4 times, I really had to be super careful while applying pressure on the top because I wanted it to give out just the right amount of product. But you know what, lets be practical. Its not always possible to remember this and so what I do is, I usually have this sample jar on my vanity; and I keep the extra dispensed product in it. Later on, I mix that with my moisturiser and it works great as a brightening tinted moisturiser.

Overall I have to give this concealer a big thumbs up for its amazing quality and performance. Love the way it evens out everything. Lasts all day without creasing or melting even on oily skin like mine. Its sure a must have if you are someone who likes long wearing brightening concealer with medium to full buildable coverage.
